Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion (likewise referred to as HUC or even HUC-JIR) is the independent seminary for how to videos rabbis, cantors, educators & communal workers around Reform Judaism. It was originally founded inside 1875 by Rabbi Isaac Mayer Wise in Cincinnati, Ohio. Another campus inside New York City was created through a merger sustaining the Jewish Institute of Religion in 1950 and additional campuses were added inside Los Angeles, California in 1954 and Jerusalem in 1963.
